THE PRAMERICA SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARDS

The 'Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards' is an annual nationwide search to identify and recognize school students who have made a positive difference to their communities through volunteer community service.

'Prudential Spirit of Community Awards', the largest youth recognition programme in the United States, is organised by Prudential Financial, Inc. (PFI), a U.S. based financial services leader. This year the programme completed 25 years of successfully recognizing and awarding the young change makers. In India the programme is organised under the name of ‘Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards' and has been in force for the past 10 years. The winners of the award travel to US for the felicitation ceremony which recognizes award winners from all participating countries.
The ceremony includes a gala award function at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, tour of historic monuments and landmarks, a festive dinner cruise on the Potomac river and plenty of opportunity for the honourees to share their experiences and ideas with one another.

Besides India, the Spirit of Community Awards is also organized in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Ireland, China and Brazil.
